Strathclyde Harmonia was formed in the summer of 2010. Its main aim was to gather a group of able singers together to raise money for local and national charities. It also allowed us to promote singing in the summer when most choirs and choral societies are on holiday and also to stop us singers going rusty!
We performed our maiden concert in St. Mary's Church, Greenock to great acclaim.
The choir meets during the month of August in preparation for concerts in late August/ early September. The choir consists of around 16 singers from different areas of the country, joining together in their love of music and singing.
We sing mainly unaccompanied music, choosing from the wide sacred and secular plethora of music available.
